A Family Vacation in the Bahamas at the Atlantis Hotel on Paradise Island

If splashing around in the sea on your family vacation is a must, then head to Paradise Island and the Atlantis hotel, a full-service resort, in the Bahamas. The Atlantis Resort in the Caribbean has a 14-acre aquascape filled with water slides that are sure to thrill kids of all ages and please everyone on your family vacation.

Now is the best time to plan a family vacation to the Bahamas. Make plans now so that when the weather turns cold, your family will head south to a tropical paradise that all families will enjoy.

The Bahamas are located off the coast of Florida. The islands are located near the Atlantic Gulf Stream, which makes the water temperature an average of 80 degrees throughout the year. Think how wonderful it will be when the weather where you live is freezing.

The beaches are white sand and with more water activities than you can imagine. Swim with the dolphins, snorkel the reef, or dive with the sea creatures. The bright colors combined with the sun, the fresh air and the beautiful sea will create memories that will always be remembered. There are four towers that make up the Hotel Atlantis. The Royal Towers is the largest tower with 1,201 rooms and beautiful water views. All standard rooms have French balconies, while suites have full balconies. You can choose between King or Double Queen beds. This tower includes the sumptuous Bridge Suite with over 5,000 square feet of space and is suspended 17 stories in the air.

The Coral Towers, home of the Kids Club, has 656 luxurious rooms with many amenities decorated in a contemporary and relaxed style. The atrium has a lounge with a waterfall and vaulted skylight. The view of its rooms can be the Terrace or the sea. Here your choice of beds is one king or two doubles. This is much smaller than the Royal Tower. At the Kids Club, children ages 3 and up and at least 48 inches tall can experience the thrill of feeding the fish in the Estuary Lagoon. They select five children a day to participate in this activity. Sign your kids up for the Atlantis Kids Club for a chance at one of the spots. This activity takes place from Tuesday to Saturday at 2:30 pm. There are two rules, children must have water shoes and be able to get into the lagoon without the help of a parent.

Then there is the beach tower, which is more moderately priced. The rooms, all 423 of them, are decorated in a tropical style. Here you can choose between a king bed or two double beds with a terrace or water views.

Then there is the truly elegant Harborside which has 392 villas. These villas can accommodate from four to ten people. They have options of one, two or three bedrooms. Each has a kitchen and separate living and sleeping areas. Each villa has a balcony, but views are not guaranteed. It has a gym, a zero-entry pool, children’s pool and 2 hot tubs. Harborside guests have all the privileges at Atlantis with a free shuttle. There are charming and relaxed dinners on the harbor front.

If you like to gamble, there is a casino at Cable Beach and another at Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island. The casino at Atlantis encompasses a seven-acre lagoon with skylights and windows that bring the scenery indoors. Dale Chihuly, who makes famous glass sculptures, designed the casino with colorful and vibrant energy. He will find 78 gaming tables including Blackjack, Mini-Baccarat and Baccarat. And of course what casino would it be without Craps, Roulette, Let It Ride and Caribbean Stud Poker. With this being the largest casino in the Caribbean, there are over 800 slot machines for casino patrons to use.
