There are plenty of real estate seminars out there. Offering day after day. Even in the mail, you’ll probably get a pitch at least once a week or once every two weeks for a real estate seminar you can attend in your area or maybe even a product you can buy, like some CDs. So should you go to these seminars? Should you take advantage of the “next” big investment opportunity you have a chance to participate in? Yes and no.

I have always recommended getting as much knowledge as possible. That is one of the reasons why you are reading this article. And usually you will always walk away with at least one idea or strategy that you can use. But, don’t necessarily get sucked into buying the next big thing. In other words, don’t fall into the “grass is greener” syndrome and buy the $5,000 seminar or $4,000 “get rich by Tuesday” home study course. Think about it first, the question to ask yourself is, “Am I really going to put my time and effort into this?”

If the answer is yes, by all means move on, but if the answer is no or don’t know, then move on. It’s human nature for us to look at something else and think that’s the way to go, to drop what we’re currently doing and jump 100% to the next big opportunity. Do not be fooled. Nothing is as easy as it seems and if you take advantage of all the great real estate investment opportunities that come along, well, you will never acquire real wealth.
