After Nadal and Federer, Djokovic’s turn to cancel his participation in the Miami Masters 1000

Novak Djokovic, recent winner of the Australian Open, decided not to go to the Masters 1000 in Miami like Rafael Nadal or Roger Federer. The famous ‘Big 3’ will therefore not be present at this Masters. The last time the trio missed a Masters was in 2004 at Paris-Bercy. Since then there have been 138 Masters 1000 tournaments.

The world number 1 apologized to his fans: “I am very sorry to inform you that this year I will not be traveling to Miami. I decide to use this precious time to spend time at home with my family. With all of these restrictions, I need to find a balance between my free time, my competitions and my family. Can’t wait to be next year and go back to Miami“, he wrote on Twitter.
