Change of reservation with Brussels Airlines free of charge until the end of May
This benefit, introduced due to the coronavirus crisis and its impacts on tourism, was already available since August and was normally scheduled to end on February 28. This flexible offer, which therefore also applies to Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian Airlines and Eurowings, is extended until May 31. Until then, all Lufthansa Group airline fares can be changed free of charge and as often as desired.
The only condition to be respected is that the change of reservation is also made before this date, underlines Brussels Airlines. From the month of June, only one last additional free change of the reservation will be possible.
The various airlines had already allowed their customers to change reservations last year for free. The elimination of booking change fees applies worldwide for all new bookings, regardless of the price, on short, medium and long-haul routes, adds the Belgian company.
However, additional costs may arise for the customer if, for example, the original booking class is no longer available when re-booking on another date or to another destination, she warns.
People who have booked a ticket issued before September 1 therefore have until May 31 to change their reservation, for flights until December 31 of this year.
