Do you have a vaginal infection?

If you have recently started to experience any of the following symptoms in or around the vaginal area, there is a strong possibility that you have developed a vaginal infection due to an overgrowth of candida albicans.

or itching

o Burning sensation

or Bread

o Difficulty urinating

o Discomfort during intercourse

o Vaginal discharge

or bad smell

Now before jumping to conclusions, you need to realize that if you do indeed have a yeast infection, there is nothing to be ashamed of. In fact, yeast infections are much more common among women than you might think. Even more surprising is the fact that it has been estimated that approximately 85% of the American population could very well be suffering from a candida infection.

Of course, even if your condition is relatively mild, in the sense that it is in no way life-threatening, I am sure you agree that it is extremely unpleasant and perhaps even a bit embarrassing. However, the good news is that you can treat it at home, without the need for any medication. While there are several home remedies that can clear a vagina infection, the ones listed below are definitely the most widely used.

Yoghurt

Yogurt is an ancient remedy for vaginal infections that has been used for longer than you or I remember. All that is required is that you buy fresh unsweetened yogurt that contains a live culture and also a pack of tampons. Just cover one of the tampons with the yogurt and then insert it into your vagina. The beneficial bacteria present in yogurt will reduce the work of candida as long as you leave the tampon in for at least an hour. Of course, it won’t do you any harm if you decide to leave it on longer, or even overnight. To prevent the yogurt from dislodging from the tampon when you insert it, you may want to consider placing the prepared tampon in the freezer until the yogurt has frozen.

Apple cider vinegar

This is once again a remedy that has been used since long in memory. To treat a vaginal infection with apple cider vinegar, simply add a little to your bath water. Ideally, you should fill the bathtub enough so that when you lie down in it, the water is deep enough to cover your genitals. As long as you don’t fill the bathroom more than that, two cups of apple cider vinegar should be sufficient. Additionally, many women recommend that you also add about a cup and a half of sea salt. Although you can just lay back and relax, it is of course best if you spread your legs and swirl the water into your vagina so the bath water solution can go to work where it is most needed. Interestingly, many people use this treatment routinely even if they do not have any type of infection. This is essentially because; Apple cider vinegar has other health benefits.

In addition to the two vaginal infection remedies discussed above, you should also try to avoid wearing tight underwear, and of course you should make sure to dry yourself thoroughly after bathing or showering. Remember, candida cannot survive in the presence of oxygen and as such no harm will be done if you wear loose clothing.

In addition to natural remedies for vaginal infection, there are also a host of other medications available, some of which are available without a prescription and some of which are only available by prescription. While many of these can certainly help eliminate symptoms, virtually none of them attempt to permanently cure the condition. Of course, the same can be said for many of the natural remedies as they offer relief and eliminate symptoms, but do they really cure the condition?

On the other hand, you could go the extra mile and heal completely and permanently. Yes, many women end up having the infection coming back over and over again, but that doesn’t mean it has to be that way. Vaginal infections can be cured almost instantly and can be cured permanently, without the help of potentially dangerous chemicals or treatments.
