Google brings automatic live subtitles to Chrome
With the new version of Chrome, Google is bringing its “Live Caption” technology to every website, as the company officially announces in a blog post. The feature, which debuted on Pixel phones, enables Google’s speech-to-text technology to be applied to any audio source to generate atomic subtitles. This is particularly important in terms of accessibility – but also practical for those people who, for example, do not have headphones on hand on a tram or in the office.
