The Vösendorfer housing company “Die Eigen” recently filed for insolvency at the regional court in Wiener Neustadt. Specifically, the opening of a restructuring procedure with self-administration was requested. In the application, the company stated that it wanted to sell several residential properties to settle debts – but viewings could not take place due to Corona. According to the credit protection association, the liabilities amount to 14.3 million euros; however, this does not yet include housing subsidies that society has to repay.
