focused intentions
Runners to your mark, set, go! When I was running track in high school, sprinters would line the track for a 100-yard dash. Each of them had a single focus and intention. They wanted to be the first to cross the finish line before anyone else. This required unwavering internal and external focus on their goal because a single mistake could cost them the race.
When a person is dedicated to achieving a goal, he has to put his mind and heart into the task at hand. Setting a goal to meet is a good start. Along the way, there should be mini-goals to keep you on track towards your main goal. Setting goals keeps you focused. They keep you going with your highest intention.
Seeing through your eyes what you can’t see with them is a good way to achieve your goals in life. For example, take a stone and throw it into a pond or lake. Watch the ripples move and spread across the lake or pond. Then see how far you can follow the pebble as it goes to the bottom of the lake or pond. At some point, you won’t be able to see where the stone is going. This requires you to see through your eyes what you can no longer see with them. You know exactly where that rock went. It went to the bottom. It landed at the base of what holds everything together.
Your soul or your inner vision is like this pond. When you choose to focus your attention on a particular intention or goal, you put your energy into life. Then a domino effect causes actions to be carried out on the other side of the pond or of your life. Although none of us can predict our paths in life, we can always know where we are going. Let’s go to the Source. It is the foundation that holds all of life together.
How can you know what your focused intention is? What is your favorite hobby? Have you ever thought about making it your career? For example, do you love golf and find yourself being a salesperson? Then try to find a way to invest in or sell golf equipment. There are many ways to tap into your abundant thoughts and connect them with your interests. My hunch is you’ll be glad you did. From your abundance or thoughts will come the riches of your life.
I know a man who had a dream. He had a dream of becoming the next president of the United States of America. His dream was to make the playing field affordable for all Americans. His message was one from Esperanza. His focused intentions were to be in a life position to fulfill his dream. He traveled across the country to share his message of hope to all Americans. After 2 long years of campaigning, winning the Democratic nomination and running against Republican candidate John McCain, on November 4, 2008, President Barack Obama saw his focused intentions manifest into material reality. He made history by becoming the first black American president of our time.
Do you have a dream? What is it? Have you been focused on this dream for years? Why not make it happen? Make your dream come true by making small goals that you can achieve step by step until you reach your ultimate focused intention. you will be glad you did. Insight is seeing from the inside what you want to see in front of you. Stay true to your purpose in life. Know the reason why you are here. Then create meaning in your life by fulfilling your destiny.
