Manual treadmills… there are some that are good, some that are bad, and some that are just plain ugly.
The Weslo Cadio Stride Plus is the cheapest treadmill you can get but I believe it is out of production but weslo still has manual treadmills if you really need to have one.

The Cardio Stride Plus on the machine that essentially replaces a brisk walk around the corner. It packs a punch when it comes to speed and offers variable incline, but most people have hills around their homes and many cheap pedometers can measure speed as well as foot strike frequency and run duration. However, this machine allows the user to walk, under their own power, without having to go outside in the cold, snow and ice in the gloomy winters of the north of the continent. Also, if you live in a really bad neighborhood, maybe walking on this treadmill is a better alternative than walking around the corner.
almost featureless
To be fair, I will not be comparing this machine to motor-driven treadmills. However, even among self-propelled treadmills, it is not the best. The real advantage of the Cardio Stride Plus is its price of around $100. It’s a lot of metal and electronics rubber for $100 you may think, but is it worth it? Honestly, I’m not against manual treadmills, I’ll review a couple more in the future to prove that fact, but this isn’t the best manual treadmill out there. It’s possibly the worst, but at $100 it often seems like little to waste in the eyes of the consumer. The real problem with this machine is that you don’t enjoy the workout you get on this machine, so you can disconnect from the treadmills and work out all together, and that would be a tragedy.
There are so many great treadmills being introduced every day that no one should have to feel like treadmills are the enemy. To elaborate on my displeasure, the 13″ wide belt makes me feel unsteady, like I could fall at any moment. I have great balance and could spend hours on foot, but for some reason when I try to line up my feet parallel on this machine just won’t work.Once you get past the phenomenon, it’s possible to walk at a decent pace on this treadmill. When you look at proper running technique, a person’s total trail width is usually no more than 10″ , but 13″ can make many people feel like they don’t have enough room to put their feet.
The manual is not bad, this machine is
For around $100 it’s amazing to find a manual treadmill, I agree. However, this manual treadmill has very little to offer anyone of any size. It is very possible that a very small person could comfortably use this machine, but I cannot. I also advise against this machine for the elderly, I know a lot of people say that no motor is the way to go for unsteady walkers, but this machine is too narrow to be safe for anyone without a perfect gait.
